History in America

It’s 9.40 AM CST, and I’m watching the lead-up to President-Elect Obama’s inauguration. I’m not going to delve into politics, but today I am so proud to be American. An inauguration to me is one of the quintessential American experiences, and always brings out a surge of patriotism in me. Lucky for me (and TR), that surge of patriotism involves watching an historic occasion from the heated comfort of his apartment in Tuscaloosa, and not on the Mall in Washington. Y’all, it’s FREEZING up there. And with my personal space issues, the masses of bodies surrounding me wouldn’t be much help, either.

Also, I LOVE what Michelle Obama is wearing today!

Yay America!!
